"Turkey- 'Roja' was 13 years old when she was raped 2 years ago by a neighbour in this hardscrabble Kurdish province. In order to "cleanse her honor", she was forced to marry her attacker in an unoffical Islamic-style ceremony. "

- So already this is pretty bad, a 13 year old being FORCED into marriage by her attacker. All in the name of honor. But it gets worse

"He (the attacker of the 13 year old girl) was later convicted of raping a 7 year-old boy and he has been imprisoned"

- Okay, so now she can go home right? I mean her husband has been imprissoned and she is still very young, so logic would tell us she would be returned to her parents? Yea..... No.

"Roja's troubles were far from over, according to the account of her ordeal provided by her family and attourneys. She allegedly was raped AGAIN by her father-in-law, who she said she demanded she prostitute herself to earn her keep."

- All this pain and suffering before this poor gir is even 18. She has suffered trauma tha would ruin most women. But unfortunatly it gets worse.

"When Roja refused... a group of men held her down and sliced off her nose. Police raided their home after being tipped off by neighbors, who heard her cries. The men were briefly detained, then set free -- though they have since been rearrested."

When she fought back, they cut off her nose. She is 15, has been sexually abused and betrayed by all those that should protect her and to then they cut off her nose.

How close does it have to get to you before you realize it his happening?
