Barbie is Alive and Well.. Hope you haven't eaten recently
Well making plastic version of her was never "supposed" to be damaging to women's self-esteem.

Meet this lovely woman

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

She's 28 and has had 26 plastic surgeries so far.
It all started after her ex-husband told her that she could need a few plastic surgeries here and there. Thank goodness it says "ex"
She got is the following:
brow lift
Botox
cheek implants
three nose jobs
veneers on her teeth
three lip implants
two boob jobs
three breast lifts
liposuction on her arms
stomach
hips
thighs
knees

And after spending $80,000 on all those surgeries, she still wants to go on with a few others.

$80,000....... think about what that kinda money could buy you?

Downpayment on a house?
Put a kid or two through college? (in Canada)
Put half in investments and travel with the rest.
Take time off and re-evaluate your life?
Get some therapy?
Feed a few thousand people in Africa?

honestly though? How frightening is this woman? She doesn't look real!

Aside from burn victims or someone who had a masectomy or some other change to what a person was born with...
I don't think people should get plastic surgery.

I know that might sound mean or judgemental, but to me it's kind of like money.

People think more money will make them happy, but unless you're starving or homeless, money isn't the answer.

This is the same thing. Being prettier or fixing "flaws" won't make someone happy.

Oh, holy god, wow. That is extremely sad. She must have some serious issues...does she think that looks good??

Sweet! This will go great with my plastic surgery to look like Ken. Seriously though she just looks like some cheap porn star. Poor thing just needs some confidence is all.

in my honest opinion, she doesnt even look pretty.

she was much bettrer looking before she had all those awful surgeries.

I wish we could find a way to change the way society makes women feel like their worth as a human being is directly related to how much they way or how they look. I know some men feel that way as well, but for women, society has a way of letting us know that unless we wear a size 2 and look like Barbie, we are completely useless and unworthy of love. If that weren't true, you'd never find women willing to spend a small fortune, risk their lives and have their faces carved up to look different than they do now. I am both saddened and outraged by this.
