I'm alive
I swear.
I have been tit-deep in teaching Macbeth and Life of Pi

What's to teach?

Macbeth Lesson- Everyone dies.

Life of Pi Lesson- Seriously, it's not about pie or math.

I am going to have the joy of reading 31 essays about "survival in life of Pi" because apparently that is the ONLY theme in the whole book

Make sure to pass along that you should never, EVER mention the actual name of The Scottish Play to an actor or in a theatre. It's all sorts of bad luck. I shiver even mentioning it!

I've always thought the choice to believe what you want to is the actual theme of the novel whereas the story of survival is really just a tool to make that point.

Then again, I am an English Lit major, and not a highschool student.

I think thats my biggest problem, anthony! I can't see my students as little people.
