Dial-Up
I haven't experienced dial-up since grade 8.

I have been reduced to dial up again while I wait for my broadband connection to be hooked up.
Waiting for images to load is painful.
I feel like I am in some sick S&M relationship. The dial-up is painfully slow for my ADD internet style and yet I keep coming back for more. I have to pay for every time I dial up (thirty cents) so I cling to this pathetic connection that tortures me to prevent it from disconnecting.

I'm such a fucking nerd.

Here's how old I am...

When I first started on line, not only was it dial-up, but it was an hourly fee of like $3.99. That was 1994.

Over the course of my life, these are the things I have decided I will never live without: air conditioning in the house AND car, a dishwasher, and cable internet. They are necessities, dammit.

Good luck with the dial up.

They actually have BDSM dungeons now where you have to use dailup to watch flash animation of Elton John and Mariah Carey singing Candle in the Wind.

One guy committed suicide after. Nasty business.

Being able to log onto the internet without leaving my apartment is worth the slow speed. I also cling to the fact that soon I will have broadband.

My lust for you now covers two continents.

i haven't been commenting but i'm following your travels! i'm glad you're finally in your apartment, even if you insist on torturing yourself with dialup.

you're going to do just fine in school, especially now that you're settling in. that is, if you get your ass off the dialup connection and get to work. :)

Um, I have dial-up at home. And an 8-track. And a Beta VCR. Does that make me weird?
